Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a Development Lead to join our
Interior Seating team at Stellantis. This role will act as a
technical leader and mentor, supporting Design Release Engineers
(DREs) across multiple seat subdisciplines including structures,
plastics, trim, foam, and Just-In-Time (JIT) seat complete
assemblies. The Development Lead will ensure robust engineering
execution, cross-functional alignment, and timely delivery of
program milestones. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership:
Provide guidance and oversight to DREs on seat system components
(structures, plastics, trim, foam) and complete seat assemblies
Ensure compliance with Stellantis engineering standards,
specifications, and regulatory requirements Guide updating
specifications based off lessons learned and continuous improvement
initiatives Program Support: Drive issue resolution and risk
mitigation across subdisciplines Support program timing, cost, and
quality objectives through proactive planning and execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with suppliers,
manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure seamless
integration of seat systems Facilitate communication between
engineering teams and suppliers for complete seat delivery Process
& Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in design,
validation, and launch readiness Identify opportunities for
innovation and efficiency in seat system development Mentorship &
Development: Act as a coach for DREs, fostering technical growth
and problem-solving skills Support onboarding and training for new
