Job Description Job Description INDUSTRIAL SERVICES TECHNICIAN - Inkster IS Job Duties: Use manual tools (shovels, rakes, scrapers, squeegees, brooms) to clean industrial, institutional and government facilities As trained and certified, operate water blasting, ice blasting, media blasting and chemical cleaning systems Perform yard, shop, and equipment maintenance and housekeeping assignments Complete site-specific documentation and duties as assigned by crew leader or supervisor Ensure equipment and company property is maintained in proper condition Minimum Requirements: Ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment Able to communicate with team members as well as on-site customer representative effectively and professionally Able to troubleshoot equipment, and as the need arises perform minor repairs Must be willing to travel overnight for assignments as required 40 Hr. HAZWOPER Training preferred but is not required Job Requirements: Ensure that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 40 pounds Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters Must be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, sky traks, etc. Must be able to climb ladders, work from stationary platforms from elevated heights and confined spaces Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts You’re a Good Fit for Valicor if you can: Maintain company mission and core values Work independently or in teams Work in a fast-paced environment Use good interpersonal skills Successful candidates must pass the Pre-Screening process if offered this position.
