Position Summary: The Martin Wheel division is a growing manufacturer and importer of tires and wheel assemblies for Lawn and Garden, Agricultural, Industrial, and Trailer applications. Our products are sold to equipment manufacturers as well as through various aftermarket and e-commerce channels. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment, building systems (HVAC), and facilities. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, accident, critical care, and short-term & long-term disability insurance 401K retirement program with employer match Paid holidays, sick and vacation time Employee purchase pricing on auto, power sport, and bicycle tires Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on hydraulic and pneumatic machines, electrical or propane lift trucks, and industrial compressors • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently • Prepares reports documenting work performed • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines • Performs other related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Thorough understanding of machines and tools • Familiarity with 110/208/220/480-volt circuits and wiring • Experience with welding and fabrication • Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms • Ability to use hand tools and power tools • Familiarity with Slick 500, Idec PLC’s, ladder logic Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED is required • Completion of vocational or skilled trades program is required Working Condition and Physical Requirements: • Work is normally performed in a manufacturing environment • Must be able to repair components that are vertical, flat, or overhead • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times • Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)
