Department : Public Service Status : Classified Exempt Job Summary
: Responsible for the coordination of projects and the assignment
and supervision of workers engaged in the repair and maintenance of
sidewalks, curbs, walking trails, right of way and municipal
streets. This work may will include the use of asphalt, concrete,
brick and gravel. Works under the immediate supervision of the
Superintendent of Public Works and Director of Public Service. Job
Duties: -Create and maintain daily work schedules. -Provide records
of projects: personnel used, time worked, materials,
outcome.-Inspect work done by department personnel and contractors.
-Direct his/her co-workers in observing safety regulations.
-Maintain painting of crosswalks, sharrow and turn arrows. -Work
with contractors when needed to perform tasks vital to a road
project. -Operate any and all department equipment when necessary.
-Direct personnel to safely remove snow from sidewalks, drives and
municipal streets and salt when needed. -Direct personnel to
collect leaves from residences city-wide during leaf season and
dispose of them at a local recycling facility. -Perform other
related duties as required. (The description above represents the
most significant duties of this position but does not exclude other
occasional work assignments.) Work Environment : Sedentary work:
exerting negligible force; occasional walking and standing.
Outdoors at times. Subject to hazards: moving mechanical parts,
electric current, water, chemicals; atmospheric conditions: fumes,
odors, dust, gases. Physical activity: balancing, stooping,
reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, substantial
movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers. Requirements: High
school graduate or holder of GED certificate. Commercial driver's
license (CDL). Ability to express or exchange ideas and
instructions accurately and clearly. The City of Euclid provides

Transportation Plan will be a policy guide that assists in the
development of equitable transportation improvements for
non-vehicular transportation. It will envision a safe, comfortable,
and connected transportation network that supports multi-modal
trips and human-powered mobility options throughout the community.
The plan will support the City's sustainability goals by
encouraging more residents to take trips to work, the grocery
store, medical appointments, and visits to friends and family by
foot or bike rather than by vehicle resulting in lower greenhouse
gas emissions and improved air quality. The active transportation
planning process will evaluate current conditions and identify
opportunities for non-vehicular infrastructure improvements that
connect key City assets such as parks, greenspaces, schools,
commercial business districts, and employment centers including the
industrial core. This will provide greater mobility and safety to
those who do not have access to, do not desire to, or cannot afford
to have a vehicle as their primary mode of transportation. The
planning process will be led by the Cuyahoga County Planning
Commission thanks to a successful 2022 Community Planning grant
