DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a valued member of our dedicated and compassionate nursing team,
you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, 24-hour
care, seven days a week. From assisting residents with their
morning routines to encouraging their participation in enriching
activities, you will play an essential role in their daily
experiences. Your meaningful interactions will allow you to make a
lasting impact on their quality of life by providing exceptional,
compassionate care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 8
hours per day, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 2nd shift (2:45 PM
to 11:15 PM) and 3rd shift (10:45 PM to 7:15 AM), with a 30-minute
lunch.You will have a rotating schedule, working every other
weekend.Overtime: As needed.Telework: You will not have the option
to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting
salary may be non-negotiable.DMVA is pleased to announce the launch
of a Nursing Referral Program, promoting the hiring and retention
of nursing staff at Pennsylvania's veterans homes. Under this
program, both referring employees and referred candidates may be
eligible for payments of up to $4,000.You will receive further

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Active
registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide
Registry; orSix months of paid experience in the care and treatment
of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.This position
is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and
requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania
Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirement:You must be able to perform essential job
functions.
Legal Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a
medical examination.This position falls under the provisions of the
Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the Act, a conditional
offer of employment will require submission and approval of
satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited
to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
