Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality
care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction.
Standard tasks to be performed by a NP/PA as specified by the Ohio
State Board of Medicine and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws: What
you will do /n /n The CPM Advanced Practice Provider (APP) within
the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at
University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is an essential
member of the perioperative team. The general role of the CPM APP
is to provide high quality, timely, effective, and collaborative,
evidenced-based care to preoperative patients. The process of
pre-screening helps achieve optimal surgical outcomes by ensuring
patients are prepared in every way for their upcoming surgery. The
CPM APP will do this through performing physical exams, ordering
and interpreting labs and diagnostic tests, and obtaining a
thorough medical history to screen and optimize medical conditions
that may affect surgical outcomes. /n /n /n - Initiates and

education and participation in peer review (5%) /n Qualifications
Education Qualifications /n · (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing, or
/n · Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program /n
Experience Qualifications /n · 1 years as a NP or PA Preferred /n
Skills and Abilities /n /n - Demonstrated leadership skills.
(Required proficiency) /n - Demonstrated skills in interpersonal
relationships. (Required proficiency) /n - Must have computer
skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe.
(Required proficiency) /n - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
and Outlook. (Required proficiency) /n /n Licenses and
Certifications /n /n - Current Registered Nurse (RN) in the State
of Ohio, and /n - Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio, or
/n - Current Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Ohio /n -
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required and /n - Advanced Cardiac Life
