Job Description Job Description Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled Radiologic Technologist role is available for a contract position in Grosse Pointe, MI, working under the direction of a Radiologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures. This role involves utilizing independent judgment to select imaging techniques and ensure patient safety while capturing high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities: Explain examination procedures and prepare patients for imaging. Review requisitions and clinical data to perform appropriate radiologic exams. Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, replenishing supplies and ensuring sterile environments. Operate radiology equipment, manually control imaging to capture accurate diagnostic information. Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for reactions, providing immediate care if needed. Apply radiation protection principles (ALARA) including proper shielding and dose reduction techniques. Complete all required documentation including logs, patient records, and continuous quality assurance in PACS and RIS systems. Uphold patient safety, privacy, and comfort, following infection control protocols. Provide education and guidance to new hires and students when applicable. Engage in team standards focusing on communication, positive attitude, and respect for diversity. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Radiologic Technologist, knowledgeable in diagnostic imaging procedures. Ability to operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with intravenous contrast administration and emergency patient care. Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and infection control procedures. Competency in using PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for image management and documentation. Excellent patient communication and clinical judgment skills.
