Job Description Job Description Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Perform radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist to assist in the evaluation of pathological conditions. This role requires independent judgment to determine appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices. Location: Grosse Pointe, MI Job Type: Contract Responsibilities: Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for imaging. Review clinical data and patient history to perform the correct radiologic exams. Prepare procedure rooms and maintain supply levels, including linens and sterile equipment. Position patients and operate radiology equipment to capture diagnostic images. Administer intravenous contrast media when needed; monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide immediate care if necessary. Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure using shielding, appropriate equipment settings, and ALARA techniques. Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient safety, privacy, and comfort in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Complete all required documentation, including patient records, logs, and imaging system entries. Resolve image exceptions and ensure quality control within the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Utilize the Radiology Information System (RIS) to track studies and maintain accurate study indexing. Communicate and confirm clinical protocols with Radiologists before conducting exams. Provide guidance and education to new hires and students as needed. Demonstrate professional standards including effective communication, teamwork, and respect for diversity. Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent). Experience with X-ray and radiologic imaging procedures. Knowledge of radiation safety and patient care protocols. Ability to comply with infection control and privacy regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills.
