(ICU) features newly renovated patient rooms, state-of-the-art
technology, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient
care. The unit manages a diverse, high-acuity patient population,
including individuals with cardiac conditions, insulin drips,
respiratory and neurological issues, and kidney disease, and
provides advanced interventions such as intubation, transesophageal
echocardiography (TEE), chest tube insertion, and central line
placement. As an Assistant Nurse Manager on this team, you will
assist fellow RNs, physicians and medical staff in providing the
best possible healthcare experience. Your work will mainly focus on
evaluating patient condition, improving unit policies, managing
caregiver schedules and welcoming new nurses to the team. This

day/evening rotation from 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m., Scheduling options
include two 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. shifts and two 7:00 p.m. – 7:00
a.m. shifts, OR three 12-hour shifts with an additional four hours
scheduled as needed for office work. A caregiver who excels in this
role will: - Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and
supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers. - Provide
direction and support to the unit staff and supervise admissions,
conduct assessment of patient's needs and initiate nursing care
plans. - Evaluate and document patient progress. - Facilitate the
planning, implementation, development and evaluation of nursing
programs, initiatives, and objectives for the unit. - Assist with
the development and implementation of policies and procedures to
ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a
unit. - Serve as a liaison between the manager, staff and other
areas within the organization. - Identify and resolve issues
affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit. -
Prepare schedule of work assignments assuring adequate coverage. -
Participate in and supports quality improvement projects, outcomes
studies and research initiatives. - Participate in departments and
committees as assigned. - Assist in orienting new personnel,
continuing education and in-service educational programs. Minimum
qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduated
from an accredited school of professional nursing - Bachelor's
degree in Nursing - Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and
skills - Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic
Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart
Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross - Two years of recent
clinical nursing experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal
future caregiver include: - Previous supervisory experience
Physical Requirements: - Requires full range of body motion
including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger
dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking
for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing
to normal range. - Requires working under stressful conditions and
irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body
fluids. - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force
occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move
objects. - Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for
Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard
precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay
Range Minimum hourly: $37.50 Maximum hourly: $57.60 The pay range
displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for
new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be
determined after taking factors into consideration such as the
candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The
pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices
(e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not
