Kent, Ohio | VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VISN 10) The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHS) is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join a thriving, collaborative cancer program serving our nation’s Veterans. This opportunity offers the rare combination of outpatient-focused practice, academic affiliation, exceptional work-life balance, and the honor of serving those who served. Position Highlights - Outpatient-focused Hematology/Oncology practice - Primary location: Kent, Ohio VA Outpatient Clinic - Affiliated with the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center - Occasional weekend inpatient consult coverage only (Cleveland) - No call coverage - No physician employment contract - No significant restrictions on moonlighting Practice Environment - Kent Clinic: 14-chair modern infusion center - Future Growth: Additional Hem/Onc position planned for Youngstown (Summer 2026) with a 6-chair infusion center - Collaborative, collegial, and mission-driven oncology team - Broad spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions Academic Opportunity - Faculty appointment eligible at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (commensurate with experience) - Ideal for physicians who value teaching, mentorship, and academic engagement Compensation & Incentives - Recruitment & Relocation Incentives Available - Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) (Student loan repayment available for eligible candidates) VA Physician Total Rewards (Exceptional & Unmatched) - 50–55 days of paid time off annually, including: - 26 days annual leave - 13 days sick leave - 11 federal holidays - Possible 5 days paid CME absence - Federal Retirement Pension (5-year vesting) - Federal 401(k)/TSP with up to 5% VA contribution - Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life & long-term care insurance - $1,000 CME reimbursement annually (FT, board certified) - Free malpractice coverage with tail - One unrestricted U.S. license accepted (any state or territory) Visa Sponsorship Welcome We proudly support diversity in medicine and welcome non-U.S. citizen physicians.
