Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineering Manager for aHigh Technology Software Engineering Group.. This role will support our fast-charging electric vehicle charging platform (EV). They will likely also support the welding product lines. This is an exciting opportunity to join the leader in high output DC fast chargers within a high impact/high visibility role. They will likely also support the welding product lines. Responsibilities

Manage a team of embedded software engineers to achieve business growth in accordance with set plan.

Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring best practices are followed in software design, coding, testing, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to define software requirements, specifications, and deliverables.

Manage the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and maintenance, while meeting project timelines and quality standards.

Develop and maintain project plans, allocate resources effectively, and track progress, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Proactively address lab related environment, ergonomic, and safety issues.

Identify and manage projects that are aimed at reducing costs on existing and new products.

Ensure that the team is identifying and addressing machine reliability issues while ultimately reducing warranty costs.

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in embedded software development, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement within the team.

Support the personal growth of direct reports through ongoing professional development.

Education & Experience Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience, preferred

Experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and software-hardware interactions.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and experience with software development tools and version control systems.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in managing software projects using project management tools.

Demonstrate ability in personnel and project management, financial analysis, and governmental

Strong organizational skills and attention to details.

Ability to build and maintain superior relationships with internal and external clients at all levels.

Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements

Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business

Contributes to the development of functional strategy

Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives

Typically operates with broad latitude in a complex environment
