Job Description:
Job Description Job Description LHH is recruiting a litigation
paralegal for a downtown law firm. The paralegal will assist
attorneys with personal injury litigation. Some local travel
required. Paid parking. Responsibilities Document drafting and
management: Draft and finalize legal documents, such as motions,
pleadings, and discovery requests, and manage electronic and paper
files. Discovery support: Assist with the discovery process by
preparing discovery requests and responses, summarizing
depositions, and organizing document productions. Trial
preparation: Help prepare for hearings and trials by organizing
exhibits, coordinating logistics, and preparing witnesses for
depositions and testimony. Case management: Track court deadlines,
maintain case chronologies, and support attorneys with various
administrative and support tasks. Legal research: Conduct legal and
factual research on case law, statutes, and other relevant
information. Qualifications Administrative skills: Strong
organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills are
essential, especially in a fast-paced environment. Legal knowledge:
A strong understanding of legal procedures and case law, though a
law degree is not required. Technical proficiency: Experience with
legal research tools, case management software, and standard office
applications like Microsoft Office is often expected.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
are needed to interact with clients, attorneys, and court staff.
Detail-oriented: Extreme attention to detail is necessary for tasks
like proofreading documents, checking citations, and managing large
