1st Shift position available for an Maintenance Technician!
Vector' s partner  in Euclid, OH, is a leading premium supplier of technology metals.  They have a current opening for a Maintenance Technician. 

Job Summary:
This person will responsible for repairing, replacing, installing, troubleshooting maintenance production equipment related to all furnaces to assure maximum throughput within all production operations.

1st Shift 
$25 -$30/ hour depending on experience 

Responsibilities:  

• Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks on furnace-related equipment
• Know how to purge, start up and shutdown and deal with any emergency situations.
• Maintain a Brick and parts inventory.
• Safety checks for leaks on furnaces and gas supply piping.
• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical devices and components, such as bearings, gears, slides, and ways.
• Troubleshoot and repair all components for hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as pumps, motors, cylinders and valves.
• Fabricate parts using lathe, milling machine, drill, saw, grinder and hand tools.
• Use measuring instruments to maintain tolerances, squareness and concentricity. Check work and make required adjustments.
• Be comfortable and trained with confined spaces.
• Maintain proper maintenance records per the required compliance necessary 

• High School of Vocational School Diploma and/or GED required.
• Requires a minimum of five years direct experience in heavy industrial maintenance activities, including: electrical, welding, fabricating, torch cutting, equipment repair, pipe fitting, and sheet metal fabrication.
• SAP Knowledge
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical and hydraulic).
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Know how to rebrick and use a Brick saw. Must possess a current fork truck and overhead crane license or acquire a license prior to operating a crane or fork truck.
• Business needs and trade compliance requirements mandate that this position be held by a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
