Job Description Primary Function: To organize workflow and ensure the employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. To assist with the operations and bottlenecks of the extrusion facility---s operations. Responsibilities: -- Provide and monitor employees with daily production requirements -- Ability to operate all equipment to avoid any bottlenecks for the extrusion schedule -- Training new employees -- Material Handling --- Lift Truck -- Set up Extrusion Dies and load billet ovens for scheduled extrusion run -- Own responsibility of magnesium chip barrels -- Learn extrusion and assist when needed -- Communicate with management and employees regarding equipment issues, scheduling, and backlog -- Ensures efficient operation of equipment by troubleshooting process malfunctions and informing appropriate parties of repairs as needed -- Maintain specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting parts -- Ongoing inspection of extruded products to ensure conformance to specifications -- Heat treating final extrusion product -- Maintain safe and clean work environment Competencies: -- Thoroughness -- Problem Solving Analysis -- Communication Proficiency -- Technical Capacity -- Detail oriented -- Safety conscious Education and Job Specifications: High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of experience required working in a industrial environment Ability to read shop orders Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to take direction from supervisors Ability to communicate effectively on all levels Must be able to follow all safety policies and procedures Must be able to work in a team environment Work Environment: Ability to deal with extreme heats up to 930 degrees Fahrenheit. Required to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
