of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community
through youth development, healthy living, and social
responsibility. Develops, organizes and implements high quality
YMCA childcare program(s). Qualifications Bachelors degree in
related field or equivalent. Three or more years’ related
experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of childcare
programs. Minimum age requirements may apply; for example, a
minimum age of 21 (define). Typical requirements within 30 days of
hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory
Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; and
Bloodborne Pathogens. .Fulfillment of state-specific hiring
standards (if any) and completion of YMCA program specific
certifications (list). Ability to relate effectively to diverse
groups of people from all social and economic segments of the

Act (ADA). Essential Functions 1. Manages, directs and coordinates
the early learning programs for assigned location(s). Ensures high
quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands
programs within the community in accordance with strategic and
operating plans. 2. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules
and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and
evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff
and achieve goals. 3. Develops, manages and controls budgets
related to the position. Ensures program operates within budget and
that program fees are collected. Supports and budgets for healthy
eating through coaching, mentoring, and monitoring menu quality 4.
Assures compliance with federal, state and local regulations as
they relate to program areas, including ADA accommodations where
appropriate. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met, and
safety procedures followed. Provide support, cooperation, and
leadership to ensure compliance with government grants and private
foundation grants. 8. Keep abreast of regulations and requirements
as it relates to Keystone STARS and work closely with its
leadership team. 9. Provides upkeep of assigned program facilities
and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy
living. 10. Develops and maintains relationships with state
childcare licensing agencies, school administration, parent groups
and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs.
Responds to all agency, parent, and community inquiries and
complaints in a timely manner. 11. Provides staff leadership for
annual fund-raising campaigns and committees as assigned. 12.
Maintains proper records/department files. 13. Organizes special
events for parents. Assists in YMCA fundraising activities. 14.
Assists and attends branch staff meetings, committee meetings and
association meetings as assigned. 15. Assists in the marketing and
distribution of program information. 16. Compiles program
statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of
participation in the program. 17. Performs other duties as
assigned. 18. Praesidium Child Protection: Core Responsibilities
(Essential Functions) 19. Adherence to Policies: Strictly follow
and enforce all organizational policies and procedures designed to
protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse. 20. Mandated
Reporting: Understand and fulfill the legal and ethical obligation
to recognize and immediately report any suspicions of child abuse
or neglect to the appropriate authorities and organizational
supervisor, as required by state laws (e.g., in Pennsylvania, this
is via the CWIS Portal). 21. Supervision and Monitoring: Implement
effective monitoring and supervision practices during all
interactions and activities to manage abuse risk, specifically
avoiding one-on-one situations without proper documentation or
supervision where possible. 22. Professional Boundaries: Maintain
strict professional ethics and boundaries in all interactions with
children, youth, and vulnerable adults, avoiding any language or
physical contact that could be perceived as inappropriate. 23.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all interactions,
especially in one-on-one scenarios or regarding any unusual
incidents or conflicts and report them to a supervisor immediately.

Mandatory Training: Successful completion of mandatory
comprehensive child abuse prevention training (online or in-person)
provided by the organization (often via the Praesidium Academy
platform) before beginning work with consumers. 26. Ongoing
Education: Willingness to participate in ongoing professional
development and periodic refresher training to stay current with
best practices in child protection and the organizations policies.
